This tactical tripod uses strong alloys and a sturdy component design to guard against damage from drops and impacts that are frequently seen in field use. Oversize legs and strut lock levers are to facilitate operation in reduced dexterity environments (gloved hands, cold hands, etc..) Because of its built-in balancing and variable drag, the head requires little operator input to position the payload and locks it in place when the hands are removed. Multiple payload configurations can be used with consistent operator input thanks to adjustable drag on each axis. One hand operation is convenient with the counterbalance design, freeing up the other hand for radio operation or range chart creation.
