At QuickSet, we've always been "customer-centric" and we're taking new initiatives every day to improve it even further. For example, we tailor our product development specifically to the needs of our customers - indeed we try very hard to anticipate their requirements (and in many cases their "desirements") in order to have the technology and products available when the customer needs it. We've put together a "product and technology roadmap" that responds to the inputs we're hearing from the marketplace. This roadmap is updated annually on a formal basis but managed very flexibly as our business environment changes during the year. As we see the demand increase for certain new product features, we adjust the priorities to get the right product to the market on time. New products that have come out of this roadmap include the hot new QPT-50 and its variants as well as the RS II RGB at Knox.
In addition, our Applications Engineering department has been upgraded in the past year with seasoned QuickSet staff and degreed engineers so we can quickly understand the customer's needs and help them find a solution of integrate-able products from our ever-expanding catalog. More-and-more of our customers are coming to us with custom requirements and unique features. Because they are so knowledgeable about our products and technology, in many cases our Applications Engineers can find the solution very quickly. Our goal is 24-hour turn around for these "IFQ" requests (Information for Quotation) and we're making great strides towards that goal.
And finally, post-sales maintenance, field service and spare parts are a fact of life when your products go into some of the harshest environments in the world. We've expanded our customer support staff from one person to four to increase our responsiveness, shorten our turn-around time and keep our product in the field up and running.
The bottom line is that a "customer-centric" focus may be the latest CE marketing craze, but at QuickSet, it has been a way of life for a long time.
