Atlantic Microwave Corporation has been QuickSet’s customer for eleven years. QuickSet always finds solutions for custom customer needs, and providing a customized product for Atlantic Microwave Corporation was a challenge that QuickSet was more than willing to take. Atlantic Microwave has a vertically polarized, omni directional antenna specifically designed for quick deployment and ease of operation. QuickSet makes a customized tripod leg structure that allows the antenna to be mounted directly on the ground or mounted on a standard communications mast. The tripod legs collapse and can be removed or folded up parallel to the lower radiating section. The entire assembly stows in a volume less than 36 inches long by 10 inches diameter. The 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York is currently using the COM201B Tactical Communication Antenna in Iraq. The antenna is a major success due to the ease of the set up, its light weight, and the increased range. It is easily stored in the soldiers’ backpack.
