From Knox Video Technologies

The RSII is one of our newest and most successful switcher products. It is the culmination of 30 years of experience in the professional A/V manufacturing marketplace. The optional removable front panel controller (FPC) device is an industry first that reduces price while increasing security. Once a user is done using the FPC, it can be removed so that unauthorized persons may not make changes.

The RSII comes standard with looping video on all composite video models. You can now share all of your sources with other machines and still have the switching capabilities of an active buffered matrix router. The looping feature also provides an easy and affordable way to build a 16x32 matrix by ganging together two RSII.
Using the designated sync input on the RSII, a user may ensure glitch free switching. This input will provide the router with the vertical interval timing, and provided the sources are synchronized, will produce seamless switching every time.

The RSII also offers optional volume and tone control along with input audio pads. This allows for the installer to adjust for audio levels that may be slightly different due to the differences in source equipment. Once the input pads are set, the router will compensate for the slight differences and eliminate any unwanted volume jumps when switching. This combined with our comprehensive volume, bass, treble, balance, and mute control, can often eliminate the need for pre-amps in a system. This allows for significant cost savings and simplifies the installation greatly. This is just another example of Knox working harder so you don’t have to.

RSII now offers an optional IP port for remote control using existing LAN or WAN infrastructure. You can control your router from anywhere your firewalls allow.
The RSII has a 5-year warranty. Our comprehensive warranty covers parts and labor for any manufacturing defect over a period of 5 years from the date of first sale.

Now that the RSII line is available in Composite, Y/C, HD component, and SDI video formats, Knox dealers have more cost effective solutions to choose from. All of these units are available with the key features described above, and yet they are still some of the most competitively priced routers on the market. By reducing chassis size and utilizing the latest in manufacturing techniques, we have been able to build the RSII as an ala-carte style machine. You only pay for the options that you require and nothing more. We encourage you to call us today for a free consultation on how our routers can simplify your next A/V installation.
