QuickSet offers modular solutions for security and surveillance systems. It is our goal to provide building blocks that can be integrated together to meet complex system requirements. These elements consist of QuickSet manufactured products; eg Az/El mounting platforms, control systems and software, video/audio matrix controls, image stabilization, etc. Additionally, QuickSet has reseller agreements and expertise to supply application-specific day/night imagers and optics. These components can be adopted to optimize any optical surveillance requirement. This modular theme is enhanced by the thoughtful distribution of control electronics where it makes the most sense and least nodal-specific impact on the system design. Our “clean-sheet” approach has been to design each component to stand-alone for retrofit into preexisting architectures or to construct a turnkey solution.

For example, our Pan and Tilt units can be configured to have significant “smart” capability at the sensor node, or control can be centered elsewhere, depending on the system designer’s preferences. We can provide the means to control all the payload functions via simple serial command interfaces to the platform. Our very high bandwidth matrix switchers are focused only on instantly transferring video and audio signals allowing the system controls to be more efficiently located in the command module, typically a PC, so the customer does not have to buy unnecessary capability just to get maximum A/V performance. With this distributed architecture approach, the customer is never “married” to QuickSet for any component in the system. We prefer to think that QuickSet’s bundled solutions are attractive in their own right; but, nevertheless, recognize that maximum flexibility and affordability is key to supporting our customers---the system integrators.
