The diverse technologies of QuickSet
In today’s newsletter you’ll read about the diverse technologies of QuickSet: Our modular security components which include tripods, positioners, enclosures, cameras, protocol translators, controllers, video stabilizers and display systems. This list now includes matrix switchers, which expands our modular concept into applications where multiple cameras feed multiple display systems. And you’ll even get a glimpse into our SeaView integrated Coastal Surveillance System that we’ve developed for the Coast Guard. But QuickSet’s technology doesn’t stop there: QuickSet has been under contract since July to the Naval Research Laboratory for the development of a ship protection system called the Deployable Fiber Optic Force Protection System. This system will eventually help protect our sailors from “USS Cole” type incidents through the coupling of our modular imaging systems with sensitive acoustic devices. QuickSet is proud to play a role in the development of technology that may eventually protect our servicemen from the threat of suicide attacks.
Looking forward into 2005, QuickSet will be expanding its role as a technology innovator as we strive to expand the scope of our modular security products. High on the list of projects for our technology road map is the incorporation of two-axis inertial stabilization to our pan/tilt product line. This will allow affordable stabilized platforms for imaging, communications, instrumentation and even military weaponry applications for land and sea-based mobile vehicles. QuickSet will now be able to address the many applications that have high-accuracy two-axis stabilized positioner requirements. The bottom line is that this year QuickSet will continue its transformational process through technology innovation to further expand our modular security and A/V products and better serve you, the customer.
