The R-CAT series receivers are available in several models based on the distance of the cable run, as well as desired features. Three distance models are available: 250 feet, 500 feet, and 1500 feet. Once the distance has been established, you will need to decide what types of signals you are going to be using. Both the 500 and the 1500 feet models are available with either simplex or duplex serial capability. Unless the serial option is chosen, all three models ship ready to receive any of the above stated video types as well as stereo audio.
All of the R-CAT receivers have built in skew compensation, which ensures the colors in your picture stay perfectly in place despite long cable runs. The R-CAT1500 models also offer optional additional skew compensation for cable runs over 1000 feet using regular CAT5 or CAT5e cable. The optional skew compensation board is not necessary if Skew Free video CAT5 cable is used in your installation.
