Into the Looking Glass

By going "smart" we're committing to moving beyond the "intelligent control" or "IC" units that we've been successfully supplying to the marketplace for several years. We're moving into the fourth generation of products that incorporate node-based software not only for control operations but also for video image analysis and automated response. The concept is simple and the need is great: In our post 9/11 world, the number of video security and surveillance systems is exploding more rapidly than the ability to absorb the data coming from them. Users simply can't hire enough operators to assimilate the data streaming at them from each imaging node.

Our goal is the manufacture of a comprehensive line of integrate-able and rapidly configurable products with an extensive variety of imagers, sensors, communications & control networks, embedded software and display & recording systems and integrated sub-systems. This will ease the integration process for primes and integrators, as they'll have one common interface, one common protocol no matter what equipment is at the node. It will provide a force multiplier for the user, as the "smart" nodes will use cognitive-based algorithms to detect targets while panning over large areas (not just from "fixed" mounted systems) and be able to automatically alarm and interface to other nodes. And, it will reduce the maintenance requirements as we incorporate on-node diagnostics and redundancy of critical functions.
2005 was a great year for QuickSet as our products are boldly sitting at the forefront of the world stage: Thousands of our products have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and on the home front we are playing an expanding role in the protection of our borders, coastlines and high value facilities (power plants and military bases, etc) through out these United States. All of this has positioned QuickSet to uniquely step forward in 2006 to answer the need for "smart" nodes for the protection of our Nation's high-value assets and critical infrastructure.
As we peer into the Looking Glass from here at QuickSet, the vision is clear.
