Jay Alfonso joined the QuickSet team in March 2005 as the Operations Division Manager. Jay is a native of Mt. Prospect, Illinois attending Southern Illinois University where he received his BA of Science in Civil Engineering. Jay explains why he chose Civil Engineering: “I really enjoy doing hands-on-work in all aspects of manufacturing”. Before joining the QuickSet team, he worked for nine years at Yaskawa Electric America as a Product Manufacturing and Quality Engineer. Jay’s experience with Yaskawa prepared him for the challenges that he now encounters at QuickSet. At Yaskawa, Jay was able to do work with many aspects of manufacturing including motion control products, gear motors, and inverters. Jay goes on to explain why he likes to be part of the QuickSet team: “I like the fast-paced environment that QuickSet has to offer. Each day brings on new challenges. QuickSet has a diversity of products. There are always new products being produced to keep up with the every changing industry requirements”. Jay’s background and education is a wonderful addition to the QuickSet team.
