From the President

When I came to QuickSet almost three years ago, one of my top initiatives was to infuse technology and innovation into the QuickSet product line. This was a high priority because new products and new product variants open doors to new market segments, and I saw that as the key to the growth of the company.
From my background as a Chief Technology Officer with an aerospace and defense contractor, and an inventor/co-inventor of 8 patents, I could easily see that technology was a key ingredient to the successful growth of the company.
This month we celebrated our first patent award since my arrival with a ceremony honoring our QuickSet inventors Ray Bratton, Dan Cloud and Carl Diana for US Patent No. 6,880,987, a "Pan and Tilt Positioning Unit". Now, anyone who's been through the patent process knows the time and effort necessary to come up with a product idea that's "useful, unique and unobvious". It takes creativity, patience and persistence. I encourage everyone to offer congratulations to the inventors for a job well done the next time you call or email into the plant.
We've reached another milestone in the transformation of QuickSet. The innovations embodied by this team in the '987 patent are already being used in many of our integrated positioner products, yielding a direct benefit to you, our customers, and expanding the applications for our QuickSet products.
I assure you, it is only the start.

Andy Lareau - President
