
QuickSet offers opportunity to immigrant
Diliana Mineva is a laboratory technician at QuickSet. She has been part of the QuickSet team for four years. Diliana migrated from Bulgaria to the United States five years ago. She said, “I came to America because of the opportunities that American can offer for my family, including myself.” She has an Associate’s degree in Automation Engineering from her country. She attended a Technical Engineering School in Bulgaria. Diliana started working in the assembly lines at QuickSet and eventually progressed to working as a technician. She uses the knowledge that she gained in her degree to perform her job. Before working at QuickSet, Diliana worked at a small cable company where she did testing. In Bulgaria, she worked in an electronic company where she did engineering design and tested pc boards. Since she was in Bulgaria, Diliana liked to read classic American authors like Mark Twain. On October 7th, 2004 she went to take her test to become a United States Citizen and passed. She is now awaiting the arrival of her US passport.
