QuickSet has developed an increasingly robust mix of components and sub-systems that, when combined with other COTS products, provide the building blocks for basic security and surveillance systems.  Through internal development and strategic business alliances, we now offer organic system elements including sensor positioning (pan and tilt/PTz), video stabilization, mounting platforms (tripods and fixed), network and system controllers.  With “smart” technology embedded at the PTz, we can control multiple imagers and positioning with simple serial commands to the node.  Through strategic business agreements, we offer imaging sensors and matrix switching capability.  It is not our intention to compete with our integration customer base, but we want to be in position to offer all the components and sub-systems for a complete system solution to our customers.  Several new products will be announced in the coming months, including far broader electro-mechanical capability, greater accuracy and repeatability, harsher environments, network and IP centric system controls, tracking and automation software, etc.  With this in mind, QuickSet has evolved two departments to aid in defining and specifying system solutions.  Our Application Engineering department, featured in our July 2004 newsletter, provides custom-tailored products.  Our Systems Engineering department, featured in this edition, provides complete system designs to fulfill customer requirements.
