What’s the advantage to having QuickSet’s Systems Engineers design your security/surveillance system? Many customers with surveillance and Homeland Security applications in mind have come to QuickSet wanting a complete systems solution, rather than just a few of the components. They have a problem to solve, it must be done quickly…no time for trial and error…and in today’s security conscious world it must have rugged and dependable looks and performance. They are attracted by our legacy of robust positioners and tripods.  They want additional system components of the same superior quality and performance. It is a natural assumption that since we build a high-quality and robust set of products, we can recognize similar quality traits in other components.

For years we have been integrating high quality visible and Infra-Red (IR) cameras, intrusion detection radar antennas, lasers, microwave communication dishes and other high value payloads to our positioners. We incorporate many features demanded by the most critical security applications: high-speed, high-resolution, high-torque, hidden wiring, tamper-resistant hardware, embedded wave-guides, corrosion-resistant paint, sealed bearings, pressurized enclosures, etc. But they realize quickly that our dependability can be offset rather quickly by “back-end” components that are of lesser quality and thus potentially the source of overall system failure. Controllers, translators, video & control links, matrix switchers, scalers, monitors and even video processing software all must have the same high quality and reliability as our own products. Otherwise, the entire system is compromised despite our reliable “front-end”.  In today’s world where applications involve dozens or even hundreds of frond-end units, the system must be engineered carefully to ensure continuity and reliability throughout.
