The QPT-50 was conceived from the beginning to fulfill all of the environmental specifications demanded by rigorous security and surveillance customers, including the military. Part of the development program is to test production units to fulfill the design pledge. It’s one thing to design to survive specified environments, it’s another thing to actually prove the performance through testing.  The QPT-50 was developed from the beginning for full compliance with IP-66, water intrusion, and IP-67, water immersion standards. Additionally, testing for salt fog, per ASTM-B117, is an important element of the test regime.  Further elements of the testing program include: MTBF life testing, speed and torque testing across the dynamic range at the temperature extremes, current draw, radiated emissions, conducted emissions and acoustic noise.
