Surviving Hurricane Charley

In hurricane Charley's wake of destruction, Florida lost many of its highway surveillance cameras to the high winds. These so-called "dome" cameras were literally blown off their pole mounts. QuickSet's QuickEye integrated repositionable camera housing was designed and tested to operate in winds to 150 MPH and survive winds to 200 MPH.

James Lutz

James Lutz has been part of the QuickSet team for two and a half years. Jim is the Mechanical Engineering Manager in charge of product design; but uniquely important, he has extensive experience with marine products. In addition to being an avid diver, Jim worked at Dacor & ScubaPro for ten years responsible for the design, prototype and testing of all scuba diving equipment.

Environmental Testing Capabilities

Expanding proficiency

QuickSet has expanded its environmental test capability. During July, an ultra-cold temperature and humidity chamber was installed giving the company greater capacity to test units to the extreme edges of their specifications. With all products designed to withstand broad climactic changes, this chamber is experiencing frequent use as more environmental tests are performed within our facilities.
