June 30 2005-- Knox Video Technologies, an operation of QuickSet International, Inc. company, announces a line of receivers and transmitters that can transmit video and audio over Cat-5 at high resolutions up to 1500 feet.

The new T-Cat and R-Cat receivers and transmitters redefine CAT5/UTP signal distribution. The R-Cat 1500 has been engineered to deliver high-resolution video over CAT5 cable, up to 1500 feet without degradation, at a resolution of 1600x1200 @60Hz. At the maximum distance, it is virtually impossible to differentiate between the remote and local displays. The R-Cat 1500 provides continuously variable EQ and optional skew compensation of up to 32ns in 1ns precision increments and supports the following video signal types: RGBHV, RGBS, RGB, Y/C and Composite Engineered to the same exacting specifications as the R-Cat1500, the R-Cat500 delivers high resolution QXGA video (2048x1536) up to 500 feet utilizing continuous EQ for optimized image quality with built-in skew compensation of 10ns of delay for R,G and B components.

Engineered to be superior and designed to utilize exclusively with the R-Cat500/1500 series, the T-Cat Universal transmitter is an essential ingredient in designing a high-resolution video distribution system.

The T-Cat Universal utilizes a unique pulse-coding scheme to analyze and deconstruct the sync signal which is then transmitted and reconstructed at the R-Cat receivers to preserve and maintain perfect signal integrity. As opposed to competing designs that force the entire sync signal down the UTP cable when it was only designed to travel a few meters, our sync output is identical to the input and the robust drivers ensure that virtually any load can be driven.
