August 31, 2004-- State Representative Kathy Rig visited QuickSet, a worldwide provider of Industrial/Military Grade tripods, positioning and optical surveillance systems for defense, homeland security, transportation security, and other markets. QuickSet welcomed Kathy Ryg into its facility. She met with President, Andy Lareau, Executive Vice President Frank Perry, and Vice President of Operations, Brian Hallstrom. Jeff Datkulaki, the president of the Illinois Defense Association was also present. "As State Representative I make it a priority to stay on top of the issues facing our community," said Ryg. "Improving transportation is at the top of the list. Looking at the technology that a local company like QuickSet offers is very promising towards meeting our goals."
Ryg’s visit to QuickSet allowed for QuickSet to understand how our government officials are responding to homeland security and transportation issues that we are dealing with. President Lareau said, “The cooperation between industry and government is very important. It is critical for the representative of our own community to know of the capabilities that reside in this district and that are readily available for the state to take advantage of.” QuickSet is proud of its reputation for providing security products of the highest quality and durability throughout the world and stands ready to support the needs of the state of Illinois as they develop.
